VineCo Global Passport 2025

Grand Red

Available March 2025 – Reserve yours today!

A Californian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Aromas of ripe blackberries and plum are intertwined with juicy red fruits, soft vanilla and a hint of black pepper on the palate. This wine has many layers. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings body and structure, the Syrah shows spice and floral notes while the Merlot adds a silky texture that ties it all together. Velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a rich lingering finish make this a true Grand Red

Lodi, nestled in the middle of the Central Valley, between San Francisco and the Sierra Nevada Mountains is known for its flourishing wine tourism and its long history, rooted in agriculture. The region is blessed with a Mediterranean-type climate, bringing warm, dry days, cool nights and continuous breezes off the San Francisco Bay. Located east of California’s two largest rivers, these mineral rich soils and unique microclimates provide the ideal conditions for growing premium wine grapes.

This wine’s signature food pairing is braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes but it’s also a great match for portobello mushroom burgers, or gruyère.

Brand VineCo Global Passport 2025

Every year, our highly anticipated VineCo™ Global Passport Series takes us on a new adventure to the most prominent, well-respected wine regions – from highly touted up-and-coming regions to age-old vineyards with long histories. Available for a short time by reservation only.

Varietal Cabernet Blends

One of the reasons that Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most widely planted grapes in the world is that it is a very versatile grape. Its strong characteristics make perfect for blending as it is easily complimented by other grape varieties. If you like Cabernet Sauvignon, you will enjoy this version of this classic grape!

Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon

The benchmark wine of France’s Bordeaux region and California, Cabernet contends as the greatest red wine of the world and is grown in almost every winemaking region on the planet. Cabernet typically features notes of black fruits, firm tannins and is often oaked. Each growing region typically has its own ‘interpretation’ of this impressive wine.

Varietal Merlot

Another classic grape from the Bordeaux region of France, Merlot is now the most widely planted red grape in the world! Merlot wines range from very approachable, young drinking, soft wines to big, dense block-busters. There is a place for Merlot in everyone’s wine rack!

Varietal Syrah

Due to the popularity of Australian wines this grape is now probably better known to most wine drinkers as Shiraz, however in France (its original home) and most growing regions of the world it is still known as Syrah. While largely a blending grape in the Rhone region wines of France, most other growing regions feature Shiraz on its own. Look for nice berry flavours with a lively spiciness- very enjoyable.

Region Lodi, California

Grapes have long been a part of the Lodi landscape, where bountiful wild vines used to grow along riverbanks. From the first planted vines in the mid-1800s, the region has flourished into a world-class producer, with most of the land dedicated to red wine grape varieties. Lodi’s grapes benefit from a Mediterranean climate of warm days and cool nights, and a dry growing season which allows growers to precisely manage vine growth through irrigation. Two mountain-fed rivers run through the region bringing rich granite-based minerals to the soil which lend complex flavours to the grapes.

Sweetness Dry

Dry wines like Cabernet and Pinot Grigio have no perceptible amount of sweetness to the drinker and will often be detected as having a drying character in the mouth.

Body Full

The big wines that can stand on their own. Often premium wines with higher tannins, alcohol levels and oaking levels as they all factor in a bigger tasting wine.

Oak Heavy

Big reds like Cabernet and ultra premium wines will have higher levels of oak as it adds to the complexity and finish that wine drinkers expect.
