A cross between two classics- Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon- you get the best of two classic grapes in Marselan. Thriving in Southern France wines made with Marcelan have balanced body, bright color and fine, velvety tannins making it pair with a variety of foods.
The Languedoc is one of the largest wine regions in the world. It is in the sunny South of France situated along the French Mediterranean coast. The vineyards benefit from the Mediterranean climate with several hours of warm sunshine and cool nights from the sea breezes. They are known for their plentiful land with soil ranging from rocky sand to thick clay making it an ideal place to grow grapes.
Dry wines like Cabernet and Pinot Grigio have no perceptible amount of sweetness to the drinker and will often be detected as having a drying character in the mouth.
Typically wines featuring grapes that naturally have bigger flavours and may have higher tannins, oaking or alcohol levels.
Most red wines will have at least a medium oak level as it is an expected part of the taste of a red wine.
