Milagro Maipo, Chile
This expressive Chilean blend brings together four classic red varieties, each contributing its own character to the finished product. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, Carmenère adds depth and subtle spice, while Merlot contributes softness, and Syrah lends richness and notes of dark fruit. Black and red berry flavours are joined by cherry and tart plum notes. Underlying oak, bright acidity, and polished tannins result in a smooth, balanced finish.
The Maipo Valley is one of Chile’s most celebrated wine regions, known for its warm days and pleasant breezes from the nearby Andes. Abundant sunshine and well-drained alluvial soils allow grapes to ripen while maintaining freshness. These conditions produce concentrated grapes perfect for crafting balanced wines, making Maipo an ideal home for expressive red blends.
This wine’s signature food pairing is grilled steak, but it’s also a great match for slow-braised beef short ribs, or BBQ beef brisket and four-cheese macaron.

Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon
The benchmark wine of France’s Bordeaux region and California, Cabernet contends as the greatest red wine of the world and is grown in almost every winemaking region on the planet. Cabernet typically features notes of black fruits, firm tannins and is often oaked. Each growing region typically has its own ‘interpretation’ of this impressive wine.
Varietal Carmenère
One of the original Bordeaux grapes of France- Caremènére was thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in Chile in 1994. Similar to Merlot- Caremènére is a medium-bodied red wine with red fruit and berry aromas and flavors. The wine’s higher acidity and medium tannins make it an easy choice for a variety of meat dishes.
Varietal Merlot
Another classic grape from the Bordeaux region of France, Merlot is now the most widely planted red grape in the world! Merlot wines range from very approachable, young drinking, soft wines to big, dense block-busters. There is a place for Merlot in everyone’s wine rack!
Varietal Syrah
Due to the popularity of Australian wines this grape is now probably better known to most wine drinkers as Shiraz, however in France (its original home) and most growing regions of the world it is still known as Syrah. While largely a blending grape in the Rhone region wines of France, most other growing regions feature Shiraz on its own. Look for nice berry flavours with a lively spiciness- very enjoyable.
Region Maipo Valley, Chile
The Maipo Valley is one of the most important wine regions in Chile and is known for producing some of the most prestigious Chilean wines. It is situated just south of Chile’s capital Santiago and extends east to the Andes Mountains and west to the Coast. The mild Mediterranean climate is dry with warm summers and cold wet winters. The region receives very little rainfall during the hot summer months, therefore viticulturalists rely on drip irrigation to help the vines through the long dry periods. The soils are clay based and very fertile resulting in full bodied red wines.
Sweetness Dry
Dry wines like Cabernet and Pinot Grigio have no perceptible amount of sweetness to the drinker and will often be detected as having a drying character in the mouth.
Body Medium-Full
Typically wines featuring grapes that naturally have bigger flavours and may have higher tannins, oaking or alcohol levels.
Oak Medium
Most red wines will have at least a medium oak level as it is an expected part of the taste of a red wine.
