Sierra Red, inspired by California’s rugged Sierra Nevada landscapes, reflects strength, depth, and intensity in every sip. This Lodi blend of Petite Verdot and Petite Sirah is driven by dark fruit, blackberry, plum, fig, and blueberry while layered with sweet vanilla and subtle dark chocolate notes. Bold tannins provide structure, while medium acidity carries through to a smooth, lingering finish, capturing the power and character of its mountainous namesake.
With a long history rooted in agriculture and winemaking, Lodi is defined by sun-filled vineyard landscapes, cooling river influences, and fertile mineral-rich soils shaped by waterways flowing from the Sierra Nevada. Consistent warmth and evening cooling allow Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah to ripen fully, producing wines with intense dark fruit character, firm tannins, and layered complexity.

Varietal Petit Verdot
This classic Bordeaux grape may be small in name- but Petit Verdot is BIG in flavour! It is a respected blending grape with its bold flavours and expressions. Petit Verdot is also more and more respected as a single varietal wine in regions like Australia, Chile and California.
Varietal Petite Sirah
Originally discovered in France it is extremely rare and now grows mostly in California. Wine enthusiasts love it for full-bodied flavours, berry, chocolate and pepper notes. Despite its name- Petite Sirah is not related to Syrah/Shiraz.
Region Lodi, California
Grapes have long been a part of the Lodi landscape, where bountiful wild vines used to grow along riverbanks. From the first planted vines in the mid-1800s, the region has flourished into a world-class producer, with most of the land dedicated to red wine grape varieties. Lodi’s grapes benefit from a Mediterranean climate of warm days and cool nights, and a dry growing season which allows growers to precisely manage vine growth through irrigation. Two mountain-fed rivers run through the region bringing rich granite-based minerals to the soil which lend complex flavours to the grapes.
Sweetness Dry
Dry wines like Cabernet and Pinot Grigio have no perceptible amount of sweetness to the drinker and will often be detected as having a drying character in the mouth.
Body Full
The big wines that can stand on their own. Often premium wines with higher tannins, alcohol levels and oaking levels as they all factor in a bigger tasting wine.
