The history of the Traminer grape is long and complicated as it is highly prone to mutation and has appeared all over Europe. What is known is that Traminer is a highly aromatic and fragrant grape (like it's Alsace version- Gewürztraminer is know for) and is the perfect blend for Riesling also known for it's good fruit and aromatics.
