White Zinfandel is produced by pressing the Zinfandel grape and quickly removing the skins. This results in the beautiful pink hue. Varietal Zinfandel
Zinfandel is often lighter coloured like Pinot Noir but has a bold taste like a Cabernet or Merlot. Expect flavours of jam, blueberry, black pepper, cherry, plumcranberry, and licorice often with a spice or smokey finish. "Old Vine" Zinfandels are grown on vines that are 40 years or older creating a more intense wine. White Zinfandels are made with the same red grapes but the quick removal of skins after crushing produces a delightful Rosé.
