Making Beer or Cider at Home

With just a little bit of equipment you too can become a brewer! Enjoy the pleasures of the process and developing new skills with each batch. Making beer or cider yourself—once you have the equipment—is the most affordable way to keep your fridge stocked.

In store beer/cider making is currently only available at our McPhillips location. You will need to have the McPhillips store selected and will be able to specify in store brewing once you select your beverage of choice.

All of our beer/cider is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee, no matter what. Our knowledgable staff are on hand to answer any questions you might have along the way. We’re here for you.

Required equipment

Making beer or cider requires some basic equipment and supplies. We have starter kits that include the sanitizers you’ll need along with everything required for fermentation.

After 2-3 weeks your beer or cider will be ready for bottling. Your bevie will then have to sit for about two weeks to carbonate. We have a great selection of bottles and caps to help you keep your beer and cider fresh until you’re ready to enjoy it.

Making beer or cider

Making beer/cider is as easy as following the basic instructions provided with each kit and making sure that everything is clean and sanitized. There are 4 main steps in the process:

Step 1: Fermentation

Step 2: Clearing

Step 3: Priming and Bottling

Step 4: Carbonating

Start brewing. We believe in you. We know you can do it!
