Sangiovese is a red grape. By minimizing contact with the skins after pressing- the juice does not extract a lot of red colour. The resulting wine is a beutiful pink colour!

Varietal Sangiovese
Sangiovese is the feature grape of Chianti and originates in the Tuscan region of Italy. On its own or featured in Chianti, Sangiovese wines are usually bone-dry with high acidity and medium body and tannin levels. Not surprising- Sangiovese wines are wonderful with pizza and pasta.
